Zachráň ma, Bože, lebo mi vody dosiahli až po hrdlo.

Zaviazol som v hlbokom bahne, v ktorom niet sa kde postaviť; vošiel som do hlbokých vôd a prúd ma zaplavil.

Ustal som od volania, hrdlo mi horí, oči mi vyhasli od vyčkávania na môjho Boha.

Viac je tých, ktorí ma bez príčiny nenávidia, ako vlasov na mojej hlave; mnoho je mojich ničiteľov, mojich lživých nepriateľov; čo som neulúpil, musím nahradiť.

Bože, Ty poznáš moju poblúdilosť, a moje viny nie sú skryté pred Tebou.
7
Nech sa nemusia hanbiť pre mňa tí, čo v Teba dúfajú, Pane, Hospodine mocností! Nech sa nemusia pre mňa pýriť tí, čo Teba hľadajú, Bože Izraela!

Lebo pre Teba znášam pohanenie, stud mi pokrýva tvár.

Svojim bratom stal som sa cudzím, synom svojej matky cudzincom.

Lebo horlenie za Tvoj dom ma strávilo, útržky Tvojich tupiteľov padli na mňa.

Keď som plakal a postil sa, bolo mi to na potupu.

Keď som vzal vrece na seba namiesto šiat, stal som sa im porekadlom.
13
O mne rozprávajú tí, ktorí sedia v bráne, i piesne pijanov opojného nápoja.

Ja sa však k Tebe modlím, Hospodine, v čase príhodnom, Bože, pre svoju veľkú milosť ohlás sa mi so svojou vernou pomocou.
15
Vytrhni ma z blata, aby som nezaviazol, nech sa oslobodím od tých, čo ma nenávidia, i z hlbokých vôd!
16
Nech ma neodplaví prúd vody a nech ma nepohltí hlbina, studňa nech nezatvorí svoje ústa nado mnou!
17
Ohlás sa mi, Hospodine, lebo je vzácna Tvoja milosť, obráť sa ku mne pre svoje hojné zľutovanie.
18
Neskrývaj tvár svoju pred svojím sluhom, lebo mi je úzko; rýchlo sa mi ohlás.
19
Priblíž sa k mojej duši, vykúp ju, pre mojich nepriateľov vysloboď ma.
20
Ty poznáš moje pohanenie i moju hanbu, potupu, a všetci moji protivníci sú Ti pred očami.
21
Potupa zlomila mi srdce, až som ochorel; čakal som na sústrasť, ale tej nebolo, na tešiteľov, ale nenašiel som ich.
22
Jed mi dávali do jedla, keď som bol smädný, napájali ma octom.
23
Nech im je ich stôl pascou pred nimi a ich obetné hody osídlom.
24
Nech sa im zatemnia oči, aby nevideli, nech sa im bedrá stále klátia.
25
Vylej na nich svoje rozhorčenie, nech ich zasiahne páľa Tvojho hnevu!
26
Nech ich táborisko spustne a v ich stanoch nech nik nebýva!
27
Lebo prenasledujú toho, koho si Ty udrel, a rozprávajú o bolesti tých, ktorých si Ty ranil.
28
K ich vine pridaj vinu, nech k Tvojej spáse nemajú prístup.
29
Nech sú vytretí z knihy života, so spravodlivými nech nie sú zapísaní.
30
Ja som však biedny a trpiaci, Tvoja pomoc nech ma vyvýši.
31
Ja piesňou budem chváliť meno Hospodinovo a velebiť Ho budem chválospevom.
32
Hospodinovi je to milšie ako býk, ako rohatý junec s raticami.
33
Nech to vidia pokorní a potešia sa, nech ožije srdce vám, ktorí hľadáte Boha!
34
Lebo Hospodin vyslýcha chudobných, svojimi väzňami nepohŕda.
35
Chváľte Ho, nebesá i zem, more i všetko, čo sa hýbe v ňom!
36
Lebo Boh pomôže Sionu a vybuduje judské mestá; bývať budú tam a zaujmú ho.
37
Potomstvo Jeho sluhov podedí ho a milovníci Jeho mena budú bývať na ňom.
