Molitev, Davidova. Čuj, o Gospod, pravično pravdo, čuj moje vpitje, poslušaj mojo molitev, na mojih ustnicah ni zvijače!

Od tebe naj pride sodba o meni; tvoje oči vidijo, kaj je prav.
3
Preišči moje srce, obišči me ponoči, preizkusi me z ognjem: ne boš našel v meni krivice. Moja usta se niso pregrešila
4
po navadi ljudi; po besedah tvojih ustnic sem se držal potov postave.
5
Moj korak se je trdno držal tvojih stezá, niso klecale moje noge.
6
Kličem k tebi, o Bog, da me uslišiš; nagni k meni svoje uho, poslušaj mojo besedo!
7
Pokaži svoje čudovito usmiljenje, ki rešuješ nasprotnikov tiste, ki se zatekajo k tvoji desnici!
8
Varuj me kot zenico v očesu, skrij me v senci svojih peruti
9
pred grešniki, ki me napadajo. Moji sovražniki besné okoli mene,
10
svoje brezčutno srce so zaprli, s svojimi usti govoré ošabno.
11
Moji sovražniki me že obkrožajo, svoje oči napenjajo, da bi me vrgli na tla,
12
podobni levu, ki zija za plenom, in leviču, ki ždi v skrivališču.
13
Vstani, Gospod, stopi mu nasproti, podri ga; iztrgaj grešniku moje življenje s svojim mečem,
14
s svojo roko, Gospod, ga iztrgaj smrtnikom, ljudem, katerih ves delež je to življenje, katerim ti napolnjuješ trebuh s svojimi dobrinami; njih sinovi so siti in zapuščajo, kar jim ostane, svojim otrokom!
15
Jaz pa bom v pravičnosti gledal tvoje obličje, se nasičeval, ko se zbudim, s tvojo podobo.
