Psalm i Asafit. Sa i mirë është Perëndia për Izraelin, për ata që e kanë zemrën të pastër!
2
E mua gati m'u morën këmbët, për pak m'u ngatërruan hapat.
3
Lakmi i pata mburravecët, kur pashë mirëqenien e të paudhëve.
4
Nuk kanë dhimbje deri në vdekje, barkun e kanë tërë dhjamë.
5
Nuk vuajnë si vdekatarët e tjerë, nuk mundohen si njerëzit e tjerë.
6
Krenaria stolis qafat e tyre, dhuna i mbulon si petk.
7
U pëlcasin sytë prej dhjamit, prej zemrave u burojnë dëshirime.
8
Përqeshin e flasin me ligësi, nga lart kërcënojnë me shtypje.
9
E hapin gojën edhe kundër qiellit, gjuha e tyre përshkon tokën.
10
Prandaj populli im kthehet drejt tyre dhe pinë prej ujërave të tyre të shumtë.
11
«E si e ditka Perëndia», thonë, «Nga e marrka vesh i Tejlarti?».
12
Ja, këta janë të paudhët! Përherë të qetë, por grumbullojnë pasuri.
13
Më kot e kam mbajtur zemrën të pastër, më kot i kam larë duart në pafajësi!
14
Tërë ditën kam pësuar fshikullima e jam munduar deri në mëngjes.
15
Po të kisha thënë: «Do të flas si ata», do të kisha tradhtuar brezninë e bijve të tu.
16
U përpoqa ta kuptoj këtë, por m'u errën sytë.
17
Vetëm kur hyra në shenjtëroren e Perëndisë, vetëm atëherë e kuptova fundin e tyre.
18
Ja, i ke vendosur në vend të rrëshqitshëm, i plandose në rrënim.
19
Si u shkatërruan kështu përnjëherë! U sosën e morën fund me tmerr!
20
Si ëndrrën e atij që zgjohet, o Zot, ashtu do ta përçmosh në agim pamjen e tyre.
21
Kur më hidhërohej zemra, e veshkat më thernin,
22
isha i marrë e nuk kuptoja, para teje isha si kafshë.
23
Por ja, unë jam gjithmonë me ty, ti më mban dorën e djathtë.
24
Ti më udhëheq me këshillat e tua, e pastaj do të më marrësh me lavdi.
25
Kë tjetër kam unë në qiell? Veç teje, mbi tokë, s'dua tjetër.
26
Më janë ligështuar trupi e zemra, por shkëmbi i zemrës sime dhe trashëgimia ime është Perëndia në amshim.
27
Ja, ata që janë larg teje do të shfarosen, ti i zhbin të gjithë ata që të tradhtojnë.
28
Por për mua është mirë të qëndroj pranë Perëndisë, të kërkoj strehë te Zoti, Zoti im, për t'i shpallur të gjitha veprat e tij.
