En psalm, en sång för sabbatsdagen.

Det är gott att tacka HERREN och att lovsjunga ditt namn, du den Högste,
3
att på morgonen förkunna din nåd och om natten din trofasthet,
4
med tiosträngad lyra och luta, med klingande toner på harpan.
5
Du gläder mig, HERRE, med dina gärningar, jag jublar över dina händers verk.
6
Hur stora är inte dina verk, HERRE, hur djupa dina tankar!
7
En oförnuftig man förstår det inte, dåren fattar det inte.
8
När de gudlösa grönskar som gräs och alla förbrytare blomstrar, går de ändå mot evig undergång.
9
Men du, HERRE, är den Högste för evigt.
10
Se dina fiender, HERRE, se, dina fiender ska förgås, alla förbrytare skingras!
11
Men mitt horn höjer du som vildoxens, jag är överöst med frisk olja.
12
Mina ögon får se mina förföljare falla, mina öron får höra om de onda som reste sig mot mig.
13
De rättfärdiga grönskar som palmer, de växer som cedrar på Libanon,
14
planterade i HERRENS hus, grönskande på vår Guds förgårdar.
15
Även vid hög ålder bär de frukt, de frodas och grönskar
16
för att förkunna att HERREN, min klippa, är rättfärdig. Ingen orätt finns i honom.
