De David. Je veux remercier le Seigneur, je veux remercier le Dieu saint de tout mon cœur!

Oui, je veux dire merci au Seigneur, sans oublier un seul de ses bienfaits.

C’est lui qui pardonne toutes mes fautes et guérit toutes mes maladies.
4
Il arrache ma vie à la tombe, il me couvre d’amour et de tendresse.
5
Il remplit de bienfaits mes vieux jours. Il me donne une nouvelle jeunesse, et j’ai la force de l’aigle qui s’envole.
6
Le Seigneur rend des jugements justes, il fait justice aux gens sans défense.
7
Il a découvert ses projets à Moïse et ses grandes actions au peuple d’Israël.
8
Le Seigneur est rempli de tendresse et de pitié, il est patient et plein d’amour.
9
Il ne fait pas sans arrêt des reproches, sa colère ne dure pas toujours.
10
Il ne tient pas compte de nos péchés, il ne nous punit pas comme nous le méritons.
11
Son amour pour ceux qui le respectent est immense, immense comme le ciel au-dessus de la terre.
12
Comme le soleil levant est loin du soleil couchant, il met nos fautes très loin de nous.
13
Comme un père aime ses enfants, le Seigneur aime avec tendresse ceux qui le respectent.
14
Il sait bien de quoi nous sommes faits, il se souvient que c’est d’un peu de poussière.
15
La vie humaine est comme l’herbe, elle ressemble à la fleur des champs. Elle commence à fleurir,
16
puis, sous le souffle du vent, elle disparaît, on ne sait même plus où elle était.
17
Mais l’amour du Seigneur dure depuis toujours et durera toujours pour ceux qui le respectent. Il reste sans cesse fidèle pour les enfants de leurs enfants,
18
pour ceux qui gardent son alliance et pensent à faire ce qu’il commande.
19
Le Seigneur a son siège dans le ciel, son pouvoir royal s’étend sur le monde entier.
20
Remerciez le Seigneur, vous, ses anges puissants! Vous accomplissez ses ordres, et vous obéissez dès que vous entendez sa voix.
21
Remerciez le Seigneur, vous, l’armée de ses serviteurs, qui faites ce qu’il désire.
22
Vous tous qu’il a créés, remerciez le Seigneur, partout où il est roi! Et moi, à mon tour, je dirai merci au Seigneur.
