qui vous tenez dans le temple du Seigneur, dans les cours de la maison de notre Dieu!

Chantez le Seigneur, car il est bon, jouez pour son nom, car il est aimable.

Le Seigneur a choisi pour lui le peuple de Jacob, il a pris Israël comme son trésor.

Oui, je le sais, le Seigneur est grand, notre maître est au-dessus de tous les dieux.

Le Seigneur fait tout ce qu’il veut, dans le ciel et sur la terre, dans les mers et dans les profondeurs.

Il soulève les nuages du bout du monde, il lance les éclairs pour faire tomber la pluie, il tire le vent qu’il gardait en réserve.

C’est le Seigneur qui a frappé les fils aînés des Égyptiens, les premiers-nés de leurs animaux.

Au milieu de toi, Égypte, il a agi de façon extraordinaire et étonnante contre le roi d’Égypte et tous ses serviteurs.

Il a frappé des peuples nombreux, il a tué des rois puissants:

Sihon, roi des Amorites, Og, roi du Bachan, et tous les rois de Canaan.

Le Seigneur a donné leurs pays en partage, en partage à Israël, son peuple.

Seigneur, on entendra toujours parler de toi, Seigneur, on se souviendra de toi de génération en génération.

Oui, le Seigneur fait justice à son peuple, il a pitié de ceux qui le servent.

Les dieux des autres peuples sont en argent et en or. Ils sont fabriqués par des hommes.

Ces statues ont une bouche, mais elles ne parlent pas. Elles ont des yeux, mais elles ne voient pas.

Elles ont des oreilles, mais elles n’entendent pas. Aucun son ne sort de leur bouche.

Ceux qui les ont faites, ceux qui mettent leur confiance en elles, qu’ils soient comme ces statues!

Tribus d’Israël, remerciez le Seigneur! Famille d’Aaron, remerciez le Seigneur!

Famille des lévites, remerciez le Seigneur! Vous qui respectez le Seigneur, remerciez le Seigneur!

Depuis Jérusalem, remerciez le Seigneur qui habite sur la montagne de Sion! Chantez la louange du Seigneur!
