Dávid zsoltáréneke. Kész a szívem, Istenem, felkészült a szívem, hogy énekkel és hangszerrel dicsérjelek! Ébredj lelkem!

Ébredj fel lant és hárfa, ébresszük fel a hajnalt!

Örökkévaló, dicsérlek téged a nemzetek előtt! Dicséreted éneklem a népek között!
4
Mert kegyelmed és jóságod magasabb az égnél, hűséged a felhőkig ér!
5
Istenem, dicsőséged növekedjen feljebb a Mennynél, dicséreted borítsa be a Földet!
6
Istenünk, szabadíts meg minket karod erejével! Hallgass meg engem, hogy megmeneküljenek, akiket szeretsz!
7
Isten így szólt szent helyén: „Örömmel nektek adom örökségül Sikem városát és Szukkót völgyét!
8
Gileád és Manassé az enyém lesz, Efraim lesz a sisakom, Júda meg királyi jogarom,
9
Moáb a mosdótálam, amelyben lábamat mosom, Edom a szolgám lesz, és sarumat hordozza, a filiszteusokat pedig legyőzöm, és diadalkiáltás hangzik fölöttük.”

[10-11] De most elhagytál bennünket, Istenem! Nem jöttél seregünkkel a csatába. Most ki vezet be engem az erős városba, hogy elfoglaljam? Ki vezet egészen Edomig?
12
Istenem, segíts meg bennünket ellenségeinkkel szemben! Hiszen az emberek segítsége semmit sem ér!
13
Istennel mégis győzelmet aratunk, mert ő tapossa földre ellenségeinket!
