Gavilējiet Dievam, mūsu spēkam, sauciet Jēkaba Dievam,

skandējiet dziesmu, sietiņu zvārdziniet, spēlējiet cītaru tīksmo un arfu!

Pūtiet jaunā mēnesī ragu, pilnā mēnesī, mūsu svētku dienā,
5
jo tas – likums Israēlam, jo tas – Jēkaba Dieva lēmums,
6
tā viņš pavēlēja visiem Jāzepā, kad viņš izgāja pret Ēģiptes zemi – valodu, ko es nezināju, nu dzirdu:
7
es atbrīvoju no nastas viņa plecu, nu viņa plaukstas no groza brīvas!
8
Postā tu sauci, un es tevi glābu, es atbildēju tev, pērkonā slēpies, es tevi pārbaudīju pie Merības ūdeņiem.
9
Klausies, mana tauta, es brīdinu tevi! Israēl, kaut tu manī klausītos!
10
Lai tev nav sveša dieva, un neklanies citam dievam –
11
es esmu Kungs, tavs Dievs, kas izveda tevi no Ēģiptes zemes – plet savu muti, un es to piepildīšu!
12
Bet mana tauta manī neklausījās, un mana tauta man nepakļāvās,
13
tad es tos nodevu viņu siržu spītam – lai dara, kā paši prot!
14
Kaut mana tauta klausītu man, kaut Israēls staigātu manus ceļus –
15
drīz viņu pretiniekus es pazemotu, pret viņu naidniekiem es vērstu roku!
16
Kunga nīdēji lišķēs viņam – tāds tiem liktenis uz mūžiem!
17
Bet viņu tas baros visbaltākiem miltiem! Un no klints tev došu sātīgu medu!
