പ്രതികാരത്തിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, പ്രതികാരത്തിന്റെ ദൈവമേ, പ്രകാശിക്കേണമേ.

ഭൂമിയുടെ ന്യായാധിപതിയേ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കേണമേ; ഡംഭികള്ക്കു നീ പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യേണമേ.
3
യഹോവേ, ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് എത്രത്തോളം, ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് എത്രത്തോളം ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിക്കും?
4
അവര് ശകാരിച്ചു ധാര്ഷ്ട്യം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; നീതികേടു പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന ഏവരും വമ്പു പറയുന്നു.
5
യഹോവേ, അവര് നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ തകര്ത്തുകളയുന്നു; നിന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
6
അവര് വിധവയെയും പരദേശിയെയും കൊല്ലുന്നു; അനാഥന്മാരെ അവര് ഹിംസിക്കുന്നു.
7
യഹോവ കാണുകയില്ല എന്നും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവം ഗ്രഹിക്കയില്ലന്നും അവര് പറയുന്നു.
8
ജനത്തിൽ മൃഗപ്രായരായവരേ, ചിന്തിച്ചുകൊള്വിന്; ഭോഷന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് എപ്പോള് ബുദ്ധിവരും?
9
ചെവിയെ നട്ടവന് കേള്ക്കയില്ലയോ? കണ്ണിനെ നിര്മ്മിച്ചവന് കാണുകയില്ലയോ?
10
ജാതികളെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നവന് ശാസിക്കയില്ലയോ? അവന് മനുഷ്യര്ക്കു ജ്ഞാനം ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നില്ലയോ?

മനുഷ്യരുടെ വിചാരങ്ങളെ മായ എന്നു യഹോവ അറിയുന്നു.
12
യഹോവേ, ദുഷ്ടന് കുഴി കുഴിക്കുവോളം അനര്ഥദിവസത്തിൽ നീ അവനെ വിശ്രമിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിനു
13
നീ ശിക്ഷിക്കയും നിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം നീ ഉപദേശിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന മനുഷ്യന് ഭാഗ്യവാന്.
14
യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തെ തള്ളിക്കളകയില്ല; തന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ കൈവിടുകയുമില്ല.
15
ന്യായവിധി നീതിയിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞുവരും; പരമാര്ഥഹൃദയമുള്ളവരൊക്കെയും അതിനോടു യോജിക്കും.
16
ദുഷ്കര്മികളുടെ നേരേ ആര് എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി എഴുന്നേല്ക്കും? നീതികേടു പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നവരോട് ആര് എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി എതിര്ത്തു നില്ക്കും?

യഹോവ എനിക്കു സഹായമായിരുന്നില്ലങ്കിൽ എന്റെ പ്രാണന് വേഗം മൗനവാസം ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.
18
എന്റെ കാൽ വഴുതുന്നു എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള് യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ദയ എന്നെ താങ്ങി.
19
എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലെ വിചാരങ്ങളുടെ ബഹുത്വത്തിൽ നിന്റെ ആശ്വാസങ്ങള് എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ തണുപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
20
നിയമത്തിനു വിരോധമായി കഷ്ടത നിര്മ്മിക്കുന്ന ദുഷ്ടസിംഹാസനത്തിനു നിന്നോടു സഖ്യത ഉണ്ടാകുമോ?
21
നീതിമാന്റെ പ്രാണനു വിരോധമായി അവര് കൂട്ടംകൂടുന്നു; കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തത്തെ അവര് ശിക്ഷയ്ക്കു വിധിക്കുന്നു.
22
എങ്കിലും യഹോവ എനിക്കു ഗോപുരവും എന്റെ ശരണശൈലമായ എന്റെ ദൈവവും ആകുന്നു.
23
അവന് അവരുടെ നീതികേട് അവരുടെമേൽതന്നെ വരുത്തും; അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടതയിൽതന്നെ അവരെ സംഹരിക്കും; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ അവരെ സംഹരിച്ചുകളയും.
