Isak sendte bud på Jakob og velsignet ham. Han sa til ham: «Du skal ikke finne deg en kone her blant Kanaans unge kvinner. Dra til Mesopotamia, til din morfar Betuel, og finn deg en kone der, blant døtrene til onkelen din Laban. Jeg ber om at Gud Den Allmektige skal velsigne deg!
