Doamne, pe Tine Te chem! Grăbește-Te să vii la mine! Ascultă glasul meu, când strig către Tine!
2
Fie rugăciunea mea ca tămâia înaintea Ta, iar ridicarea mâinilor mele, ca jertfa de seară.
3
Doamne, pune strajă gurii mele; păzește ușa buzelor mele!
4
Nu-mi lăsa inima să se abată spre rău și să facă fapte rele împreună cu oamenii care comit nelegiuiri, și nu mă lăsa să mănânc din delicatesele lor.
5
Să mă lovească cel drept – aceasta este bunătate! Să mă mustre el – aceasta este ulei pentru capul meu! Să nu-mi feresc capul! Căci rugăciunea mea va fi mereu împotriva răutăților lor.
6
Când judecătorii lor vor fi aruncați de pe marginea stâncilor, atunci vor asculta cuvintele mele, căci ele sunt plăcute.
7
Cum este pământul arat și brăzdat, așa sunt și oasele noastre împrăștiate la intrarea în Locuința Morților.
8
Eu însă, către Tine, Stăpâne Doamne, îmi îndrept ochii. În Tine mă adăpostesc! Nu-mi părăsi sufletul!
9
Păzește-mă de cursa pe care mi-au întins-o ei și de capcanele celor ce comit nelegiuiri.
10
Să cadă împreună cei răi în lațurile lor, în timp ce eu să scap!
