Dumnezeul meu, scapă-mă de dușmanii mei, protejează-mă de cei ce s-au ridicat împotriva mea!
2
Scapă-mă de cei ce comit nelegiuiri, salvează-mă de oamenii însetați de sânge!
3
Căci iată-i cum îmi pândesc sufletul! Niște oameni puternici conspiră împotriva mea, însă nu pentru fărădelegea mea și nici pentru păcatul meu, Doamne!
4
Fără să am vreo vină, ei sunt pregătiți să mă atace. Ridică-Te să vii în întâmpinarea mea și privește!
5
Tu, Doamne, Dumnezeul Oștirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel, trezește-Te să pedepsești toate națiunile! Nu arăta bunăvoință față de niciunul dintre acești trădători nelegiuiți.
6
Se întorc seara, urlă ca un câine și dau târcoale cetății.
7
Iată, ei răbufnesc cu gurile lor, pe buzele lor sunt săbii; căci zic: „Cine aude?“.
8
Dar Tu, Doamne, râzi de ei, îți bați joc de toate națiunile.
9
Puterea mea, pe Tine Te aștept, căci Dumnezeu este locul meu de scăpare!
10
Dumnezeu, Care este îndurător cu mine, va veni să mă ajute. Dumnezeu mă va face să privesc de sus la cei ce mă pândesc.
11
Nu-i ucide, ca nu cumva poporul meu să uite! Fă-i să rătăcească, prin puterea Ta, și doboară-i, Stăpâne, Scutul nostru!
12
Păcatul gurii lor este cuvântul buzelor lor. Să fie prinși în propria mândrie! Să fie prinși de blestemul și minciuna pe care le rostesc!
13
Nimicește-i cu mânie; nimicește-i, ca să nu mai fie! Fă-i să știe că Dumnezeu stăpânește în Iacov și până la marginile pământului.
14
Se întorc seara, urlă ca un câine și dau târcoale cetății.
15
Ei rătăcesc după mâncare – dacă nu se satură, rămân peste noapte acolo.
16
Eu însă voi cânta despre puterea Ta, dimineața voi striga cu bucurie despre îndurarea Ta, căci Tu mi-ai fost un loc de scăpare și adăpost în ziua necazului meu.
17
Puterea mea, voi cânta spre lauda Ta, căci Dumnezeu este locul meu de scăpare, Dumnezeul Care este îndurător cu mine!
