A Dios dirijo mis ruegos, para que me escuche.

En los momentos más difíciles, siempre busco a Dios. Con las manos levantadas me paso la noche orando, aunque ni esto me consuela.

Cuando pienso en Dios, me siento desalentado y me dan ganas de llorar.

¡Dios me hace perder el sueño! ¡Estoy tan confundido que no sé qué decir!

Por las noches me pongo a pensar; recuerdo los tiempos pasados, los años que se han ido, y entonces me pregunto:

«¿Estará rechazándonos Dios de una vez y para siempre? ¿Habrá dejado de amarnos? ¿Tan enojado está con nosotros que ya no nos tiene compasión? ¿Dejará de tratarnos con bondad? ¿Se habrán agotado las promesas que se comprometió a cumplir? ¿Se habrá olvidado de que es un Dios bueno?»

Y yo mismo me contesto: «¡Qué doloroso es darse cuenta de que Dios ya no es el mismo, que ya no nos trata como antes!

¡Vale más que me acuerde de sus grandes hechos y de sus maravillas pasadas!

¡Vale más que me acuerde de sus obras maravillosas!

»Dios mío, ¡No hay Dios tan grande como tú! ¡Todo lo que haces es perfecto!
14
Tú eres el Dios que hace milagros, que muestra su poder entre los pueblos.
15
Con tu brazo poderoso diste libertad a tu pueblo Israel.
16
»Dios mío, el agua se agitó al verte; ¡el mismo mar profundo se estremeció con violencia!
17
Por todo el espacio del cielo retumbaron los relámpagos, y las nubes soltaron su lluvia.
18
En medio del torbellino retumbó tu voz de trueno, y la luz de tus relámpagos iluminó el mundo; entonces tembló la tierra.
19
Hiciste un camino en el mar; te abriste paso entre las aguas, pero nadie vio jamás tus huellas.
20
Por medio de Moisés y de Aarón fuiste guiando a tu pueblo, como guía el pastor a sus ovejas».
