Dios nuestro, ¡tú siempre has sido nuestra casa!

Desde siempre y hasta siempre, desde antes de que crearas las montañas, la tierra y el mundo, tú has sido nuestro Dios.

Tú marcas el fin de nuestra existencia cuando nos ordenas volver al polvo.

Para ti, mil años pasan pronto; pasan como el día de ayer, pasan como unas horas de la noche.

Nuestra vida es como un sueño del que nos despiertas al amanecer. Somos como la hierba:

comienza el día, y estamos frescos y radiantes; termina el día, y estamos secos y marchitos.

Si te enojas, nos asustas; si te enfureces, nos destruyes.

Tú conoces nuestros pecados, aun los más secretos.

Si te enojas, termina nuestra vida; los años se nos escapan como se escapa un suspiro.

Si las fuerzas nos ayudan, podemos vivir setenta años, y aun llegar a los ochenta; pero no tiene sentido que vivamos tanto tiempo: esa vida de angustias y problemas pasa pronto, lo mismo que nosotros.

La fuerza de tu furia nadie ha llegado a conocerla. ¡Es tan grande tu enojo como el temor que nos inspiras!

Enséñanos a pensar cómo vivir para que nuestra mente se llene de sabiduría.

Dios nuestro, ¿hasta cuándo vas a abandonarnos? ¡Vuelve a ser nuestro Dios! ¡Compadécete de nosotros pues somos tu pueblo!

¡Permítenos comenzar el día llenos de tu amor, para que toda la vida cantemos llenos de alegría!

Ya hemos tenido días de tristeza y muchos años de aflicción; ¡devuélvenos esa alegría perdida!
16
¡Permite que nosotros y nuestros hijos podamos ver tu grandeza y tu poder!

Dios nuestro, ¡muéstranos tu bondad, y bendice nuestro trabajo! ¡Sí, bendice nuestro trabajo!
