Žalm Dávidov. Hospodine, počuj moju modlitbu; pozoruj ušima moje pokorné prosby! Ohlás sa mi vo svojej vernosti pre svoju spravedlivosť.

A nevchádza so svojím služobníkom v súd, lebo by nebol pred tebou spravedlivý nikto živý.
3
Preto, že nepriateľ stíha moju dušu, depce môj život na zem, posadil ma do tmy, takže som ako tí, ktorí dávno pomreli,
4
môj duch nyje vo mne, a moje srdce hynie v mojom vnútri.
5
Rozpomínam sa na predošlé dni; rozmýšľam o všetkých tvojich skutkoch; rozjímam o diele tvojich rúk.
6
Rozprestieram svoje ruky k tebe; moja duša práhne po tebe jako vypráhla zem. Sélah.
7
Rýchle ma vyslyš, Hospodine, môj duch hynie; neskrývaj predo mnou svojej tvári, lebo by som bol podobný tým, ktorí sostupujú do jamy.
8
Daj, že by som ráno počul tvoju milosť, lebo na teba sa nadejem. Oznám mi cestu, ktorou mám ísť, lebo k tebe pozdvihujem svoju dušu.
9
Vytrhni ma z moci mojich nepriateľov, Hospodine; k tebe sa skrývam.
10
Nauč ma činiť tvoju vôľu, lebo si ty môj Bôh; tvoj dobrý Duch nech ma vedie po rovnej zemi.
11
Pre svoje meno, Hospodine, ma obživ; vo svojej spravedlivosti vyveď moju dušu zo súženia!
12
A vo svojej milosti vyplieň mojich nepriateľov a zahub všetkých, ktorí trápia moju dušu, lebo ja som tvoj služobník.
