Nebude u teba cudzieho boha, ani sa nebudeš klaňať bohu cudziny.

Ja som Hospodin, tvoj Bôh, ktorý som ťa vyviedol z Egyptskej zeme. Otvor svoje ústa na široko, a naplním ich.

Ale môj ľud neposlúchol môjho hlasu, a Izrael sa mi nechcel poddať.

A preto som ho pustil, aby robili podľa námyslu svojho srdca, aby chodili podľa svojich rád.

Ó, keby ma bol počúval môj ľud! Keby bol Izrael chodil po mojich cestách!
15
Len ešte málo, a bol by som zohol ich nepriateľov a obrátil svoju ruku na ich protivníkov.
16
Tí, ktorí nenávidia Hospodina, boli by sa mu lichotne korili, a ich čas by bol trval až na veky.
17
Bol by ich krmil jadrom pšenice. A bol by som ťa sýtil medom zo skaly.
