Nemlč, ó, Bože, nerob sa, jako keby si nepočul, a nebuď ticho, silný Bože!

Lebo hľa, tvoji nepriatelia sa búria, a tí, ktorí ťa nenávidia, dvíhajú hlavu.

Snujú ľstivú radu proti tvojmu ľudu a radia sa proti tým, ktorých ty kryješ.

Hovoria: Poďte, vyhubme ich, aby prestali byť národom, aby sa viacej nespomínalo meno Izraelovo.

Lebo sa uradili spolu jako jedno srdce; urobili smluvu proti tebe,

stány Edomove a Izmaeliti, Moáb a Hagrovia,

Nalož s nimi, s ich vodcami jako s Orébom a Zeebom, jako s Zebachom a Calmunnom, so všetkými ich kniežatami,

ktorí povedali: Dobyme si dedične príbytky Božie!

Môj Bože, daj, aby boli jako smeti krútňavy, jako posekané steblie pred vetrom.
15
Ako čo oheň spaľuje les, a jako plameň zapaľuje a trávi vrchy,
16
tak ich stíhaj svojou víchricou a svojou búrkou ich predes!
17
Naplň ich tvár hanbou, aby hľadali tvoje meno, Hospodine!
18
Nech sa hanbia a desia na večné veky, nech rumenejú hanbou a zahynú,
19
a tak nech poznajú, že ty, ktorého meno je Hospodin, si sám Najvyšším Pánom nad celou zemou.
