Daar is vrede in my hart, o God. U het my getroos. Daarom wil ek sing, ja, ek wil lofliedere sing om U te eer. Laat ek my musiekinstrumente nader trek.

Ek sal baie vroeg in die môre opstaan. Met my musiekinstrumente sal ek die dagbreek laat nader kom. Ek sal sing dat die son kan opkom.

Onder al die mense sal ek U prys, Here. Ek sal lofliedere sing om U onder vreemde mense groot te maak.

Ek doen dit omdat U vir my baie lief is. U liefde is so groot dat niemand dit kan meet nie! En U is so ongelooflik getrou.

O God, wys tog vir ons dat niemand groter is as U nie. Selfs nie eens in die hemel is iemand groter as U nie! U is so groot dat almal op aarde dit kan raaksien!

Red al u geliefde kinders met u krag, Here. Help ons!

Vanuit die plek waar Hy aanbid word, het God vir sy kinders, die Israeliete, gesê: “Ek het hierdie land verower. Daar is baie plekke in die land wat Ek vir julle sal gee.

Die hele land is Myne. Ek het vir julle elkeen plek gemaak. Ek het vir elkeen van julle ’n werk gegee. Ook die plekke rondom julle gebruik Ek.

Ek het ook mag oor julle bure, want Ek het hulle almal verower.”

Israel het vir die Here gesê: Daar is niemand om ons vyande se hoofstad in te neem nie. Dis ’n sterk stad. Niemand wil ons daarheen vat nie.

God, U het ons van U af weggestoot. U lei en beskerm nie ons soldate nie!
13
Help ons teen ons vyande. Om op mense te vertrou help niks nie.
14
Maar as die Here ons help, is ons aan die wenkant. God sal ons groot dinge laat doen. Maar die Here sal self afreken met daardie mense wat nie vir ons lief is nie.
