Pjesma hodočasnika pri usponu u Hram. O BOŽE, sjeti se što je sve David izdržao.

Tebi, BOŽE, dao je zakletvu, zavjetovao se silnom Bogu Jakovljevom:

»Neću ući u svoju kuću, niti leći u svoju postelju.

San na oči neću pustiti, ni očne kapke sklopiti

dok ne nađem mjesto za BOGA, gdje će stanovati silni Bog Jakovljev.«

U Efrati smo saznali za Kovčeg saveza, pronašli smo ga u Kirjat Jearimu.

Hajdemo sad u Božji dom, da se pred njegovim prijestoljem poklonimo.

Ustani, BOŽE! Idi u svoje prebivalište, s Kovčegom što tvoju moć pokazuje.

Neka su tvoji svećenici pravdom odjeveni, a tvoji vjernici neka kliču od radosti.

Zbog svoga sluge Davida, ne odbij svog pomazanika.

BOG se zakleo Davidu i od toga neće odstupiti: »Tvoji će potomci na prijestolju biti dovijeka.

Ako budu vjerni mom Savezu i zakonima, i njihovi će sinovi zauvijek kraljevati.«

BOG je odabrao Sion kao mjesto za svoj dom.
14
Rekao je: »Ovdje ću se naseliti, ovdje želim zauvijek stanovati.
15
Grad ću blagosloviti obiljem i nahraniti siromašne.
16
Svećenike ću odjenuti spasenjem, a vjernici će klicati od radosti.
17
Ovdje će vladati Davidova obitelj i nikad se neće ugasiti loza moga odabranog kralja.
18
Posramit ću njegove neprijatelje, a na glavi će mu sjajiti kruna.«
