Psalam zapjevajte, u tamburin udarite, u milozvučnu harfu i liru zasvirajte.

U ovnov rog trubite za mladog mjeseca, i za punog mjeseca, na dan našeg blagdana.

To je uredba za Izrael, zakon Boga Jakovljevog.

Bog je to Josipu dao kao propis kada ga je izveo iz Egipta. Na jeziku, koji nisam nikad čuo, Bog mi je rekao:

»Skinuo sam teret s tvojih ramena, ruke su ti slobodne od teških košara.

Zavapio si mi u nevolji, a ja sam te izbavio. Iz skrovišta gromova odgovorio sam ti, provjerio sam te kod vodâ Meribe.« Selah

»Moj narode, opominjem te! Kad bi me barem poslušao, Izraele!

Nemoj štovati tuđe bogove i nemoj im se nikad klanjati.

Ja sam BOG koji te izveo iz Egipta. Otvori usta i ja ću te hraniti.«

»Ali moj me narod nije poslušao, Izrael mi se nije htio pokoriti.

Zato sam ih predao njihovom tvrdu srcu, pustio da rade što god požele.
13
E, kad bi me moj narod poslušao, kad bi Izrael radio što ja želim!
14
Brzo bih im pokorio neprijatelje i digao ruku na njihove protivnike.
15
Drhtali bi pred BOGOM oni koji ga mrze, bili bi zauvijek kažnjeni.
16
A Izrael bih hranio najboljom pšenicom i sitio ga čistim medom.«
