Zna li se za tvoja čuda u svijetu tame i za tvoju pravednost u zemlji zaborava?

BOŽE, a ja ti ipak vapim, svakog ti se jutra molim.

Zašto me odbacuješ, BOŽE, i od mene skrivaš svoje lice?

Od mladosti sam jadan i slab, iznemogao od tvoga gnjeva.

Tvoja me ljutnja preplavljuje, satiru me tvoje strahote,

vrtlože se oko mene kao vode i odasvud me udaraju.

Udaljio si od mene prijatelje i voljene. Sada mi je tama jedini prijatelj.
