Ti, što živiš u skloništu Svevišnjega, što boraviš u sjeni Svemoćnoga,
2
reci BOGU: »Sigurnosti moja! Obrano moja! Bože moj, u koga se uzdam!«

On će te izbaviti iz zamke skrivene i od bolesti smrtonosne.
4
Svojim perjem će te pokriti pod njegova krila ćeš se skloniti, njegova vjernost će te štititi.
5
Nećeš se bojati strahote noću, ni strijele koja leti danju,
6
ni bolesti koja se šulja u tami, ni pomora koji hara u podne:
7
tisuću ljudi može pasti kraj tebe, deset tisuća s tvoje desne strane, ali tebi se neće približiti.
8
Samo gledaj pa ćeš vidjeti da zle kazna snalazi.
9
Budući da je BOG tvoje sklonište, Svevišnji tvoje utočište,
10
nikakvo zlo neće te snaći, ni pošast se tvom domu primaći.
11
On će zapovjediti svojim anđelima da te čuvaju na svim tvojim putovima.
12
Oni će te na rukama nositi da ti noga u kamen ne udari.
13
Lavove i zmije gazit ćeš nogama, lavove snažne i zmije otrovnice.
14
Bog kaže: »Izbavit ću one koji me vole, zaštitit ću one koji se uzdaju u mene.
15
Meni će zavapiti i ja ću im odgovoriti. S njima ću biti u nevolji, spasit ću ih i čast im iskazati.
16
Nagradit ću ih dugim životom, pokazati im svoje spasenje.«
