Molitva Mojsija, Božjeg čovjeka. Gospodaru, ti si naše prebivalište kroz sve naraštaje.

Prije nego što si načinio planine i stvorio zemlju i svijet, bio si Bog oduvijek i jesi zauvijek.

Ti čovjeka vraćaš u prah, govoreći: »Vratite se u prah, smrtnici!«
4
Jer, tisuću godina tebi prođe kao dan jučerašnji, kao nekoliko noćnih sati.
5
Ti nas odnosiš kao poplava jer smo prolazni kao san, kao mlada jutarnja trava,
6
koja ujutro nikne i raste, a uvečer uvene i osuši se.
7
Tvoj gnjev nas uništava, a tvoja srdžba užasava.
8
Pred sebe si stavio naša zlodjela, naše skrivene grijehe si obasjao.
9
Naš život završava zbog tvoje srdžbe, naše godine kao uzdah prolaze.
10
Životni vijek nam je sedamdeset godina, ako smo jaki, tada osamdeset. A većina njih su muka i jad, prolaze brzo i mi nestajemo.
11
Tko je iskusio punu žestinu tvoga gnjeva? Tvoja srdžba strahopoštovanje izaziva.
12
Nauči nas da svoje dane dobro koristimo, da mudrost steknemo.
13
BOŽE, nemoj više tako! Sažali se nad svojim slugama.
14
Svako jutro ispuni nas svojom ljubavlju, da se svaki dan radujemo i uživamo.
15
Daj da se radujemo onoliko dana koliko si nam nanosio nevolje, onoliko godina koliko smo iskusili nesreće.
16
Pokaži svojim slugama svoje djelo i njihovoj djeci svoje veličanstvo.
17
Neka je naklonost Gospodara, našeg Boga, na nama. Daj nam uspjeh u onom što činimo! Da, neka u svemu uspijevamo!
