Ne szállj perbe szolgáddal, mert egy élő sem igaz előtted!

Íme, ellenség üldözi lelkemet, földre tiporja életemet. Sötétségbe taszít engem, mint a régen megholtakat.

Elcsügged bennem a lelkem, megdermed bensőmben a szívem.

Megemlékezem a régi időkről, végiggondolom minden dolgodat, kezed munkáiról elmélkedem.

Feléd tárom kezemet, lelkem mint szomjú föld, úgy sóvárog utánad. [Szela]

Siess, hallgass meg, URam, mert eleped a lelkem! Ne rejtsd el arcodat előlem: ne legyek hasonló a sírba szállókhoz!

Jó reggel hallasd velem kegyelmedet, mert bízom benned! Mutasd meg nekem, hogy melyik úton járjak, mert hozzád emelem lelkemet!

Szabadíts meg ellenségeimtől, URam, hozzád menekülök!

Taníts meg a te akaratodat tenni, mert te vagy Istenem! A te jó lelked vezessen engem sima földön.

Eleveníts meg engem, URam, a te nevedért. Hozd ki lelkemet a nyomorúságból a te igazságodért!
12
Kegyelmedből rontsd meg ellenségeimet, és veszítsd el mindazokat, akik szorongatják a lelkemet, mert szolgád vagyok én.
