(6) Bizonyságul adta Józsefnek, amikor Egyiptom ellen indult. Olyan nyelvet hallottam ott, amelyet nem ismertem:

(11) Én, az ÚR vagyok a te Istened, aki kihoztalak Egyiptom földjéről. Nyisd ki a szádat, és én megtöltöm azt!

(12) De népem nem hallgatott szavamra, Izráel nem engedelmeskedett nekem.

(13) Ezért meghagytam őket szívük keménységében, hadd járjanak saját tanácsuk szerint.

(14) Ó, ha népem hallgatna rám, és Izráel az én utaimon járna!

(15) Rögtön megaláznám ellenségeit, és szorongatói ellen fordítanám kezem.

(16) Az ÚR gyűlölői hízelegnének neki, és bűnhődésük ideje örökké tartana.

(17) Téged pedig megelégítenélek a búza javával és sziklából folyó mézzel lakatnálak jól!
