Skyldi sá ekki hegna sem agar þjóðirnar, hann, sem kennir manninum visku?

Drottinn þekkir hugsanir manna, veit að þær eru vindgustur einn.

Sæll er sá maður er þú agar, Drottinn, og fræðir með lögmáli þínu

svo að hann njóti friðar á erfiðum dögum uns hinum óguðlega verður grafin gröf.

Drottinn mun ekki hafna lýð sínum, hann mun ekki yfirgefa arfleifð sína.
