Augšupceļa dziesma. Ieskaiti, Kungs, Dāvidam visu, ko viņš pārcietis –

kā viņš zvērēja Kungam, solījās Jēkaba Varenajam:

es nenākšu savā teltī, nelikšos savas gultas pēļos,

neļaušu miegu savām acīm, saviem plakstiem ne mirkli snaudas,

pirms atrodu vietu Kungam, mājokli Jēkaba Varenajam! –

Redzi, mēs dzirdējām par to Efrātā, mēs to atradām Jāaras laukos,

iesim nu uz viņa mājokli, paklanīsimies viņa kājsolam!

Ienāc jel, Kungs, savā atpūtas vietā – tu un tavas varenības šķirsts!

Tavi priesteri lai taisnību uzģērbj, un tev uzticīgie lai gavilē!

Dāvida, sava kalpa, dēļ nepamet savu svaidīto!

Kungs zvērējis Dāvidam pēc patiesības – viņš no tās neatkāpsies: tavas miesas augli es iecelšu tavā tronī!

Ja tavi dēli turēs manu derību un manas liecības, ko tiem mācīšu, arīdzan viņu dēli uz mūžiem sēdēs tavā tronī!

Jo Kungs ir Ciānu izraudzījis, iekārojis par sēdekli sev:

tā mana atpūtas vieta uz laiku laikiem, te es sēdēšu, jo es to iekāroju!

Ar iztiku es to svētīt svētīšu, tās nabagos mielošu ar maizi,

tās priesterus tērpšu pestīšanā, tās uzticīgie gavilēt gavilēs!

Tur es pacelšu Dāvida ragu, tur likšu gaismekli savam svaidītajam!

Viņa naidniekus es tērpšu kaunā, bet pār viņu mirdzēs viņa kronis!
