Ikke oss, HERRE, ikke oss, gi heller ditt navn ære, du som er kjærlig og trofast.

Hvorfor skal folkene si: «Hvor er deres Gud?»

Vår Gud er i himmelen, alt han vil, det gjør han.

Gudebildene deres er av sølv og gull, menneskehender har laget dem.
5
De har munn, men kan ikke tale, de har øyne, men kan ikke se.
6
De har ører, men kan ikke høre, de har nese, men kan ikke lukte.
7
De har hender, men kan ikke føle, de har føtter, men kan ikke gå, de har ikke lyd i strupen.

Slik blir også de som lager dem, og alle som setter sin lit til dem.

Stol på HERREN, Israel! Han er deres hjelp og skjold.

Stol på HERREN, Arons hus! Han er deres hjelp og skjold.

Stol på HERREN, dere som frykter ham! Han er deres hjelp og skjold.

HERREN husker på oss, han velsigner. Han velsigner Israels hus, han velsigner Arons hus.

Han velsigner dem som frykter HERREN, de små og de store.
14
Måtte HERREN la dere øke i tall, både dere og deres barn!

Dere er velsignet av HERREN, han som skapte himmel og jord.
16
Himmelen er HERRENS himmel, men jorden ga han til mennesket.
17
De døde priser ikke HERREN, alle de som går ned til stillhetens land.
18
Men vi velsigner HERREN fra nå og til evig tid. Halleluja!
