Jeg elsker HERREN, for han hørte mitt rop om nåde.

Han vendte øret til meg, jeg vil kalle på ham alle mine dager.

Dødens bånd snørte seg om meg, dødsrikets redsler nådde meg, jeg fant bare nød og sorg.

Da påkalte jeg HERRENS navn: «Å, HERRE, redd livet mitt!»

HERREN er nådig og rettferdig, vår Gud er barmhjertig.
