Ngiyamthanda uSomnini ngombana uzwa iphimbo lami, iye, neenlilo zami.

Mbala, ubeka indlebakhe kimi, nje-ke ngizambiza ipilwami yoke.

Ngenganyelwa misinga yokufa, ivalo lendawo yabafileko langifikela; ngehlelwa yimbandezelo nesizi.

Nje-ke ngabiza ibizo lakaSomnini, ngathi: “Awu, Somnini, sindisa ipilwami!”
5
USomnini unesirhawu, ulungile, iye, uZimethu unomusa.
6
USomnini uvikela abathobekileko; wangisindisa nangithotjiswako.
7
Nje-ke, buyela ekuphumuleni kwakho, mphefumulwami ngombana uSomnini ukondle kuhle.

Mbala wena Somnini, uhlenge ipilwami ekufeni, amehlwami eenyembezini neenyawo zami ekukhutjweni.

Ngikhamba phambi kwakaSomnini enarheni yabaphilako.

Ngiyakholwa, nanyana ngisithi: “Ngihlunguphazwe khulu.”

Mina-ke ngaba namawala ngokuthi: “Boke abantu banamanga.”

Yini lokho engingakhokhela ngakho uSomnini, ngalokho okuhle angenzele khona na?
13
Ngizakutjhidela e-aldarini ngekapho yesindiso, ngibize ibizo lakaSomnini.
14
Ngizakugcwalisa iimfungo zami kuSomnini, iye, phambi kwabantu bakhe boke.
15
Ngilemukile bona kuyabiza emehlweni kaSomnini ukufa kwabathembekileko bakhe.

Awu, Somnini, ngiyincekwakho! Njengombana ngiyincekwakho, indodana yencekukazakho, ungitjhaphululile emakhamandeleni.

Kuwe ngizakunikela umnikelo wokuthokoza, ngibize ibizo lakaSomnini.

Ngizakugcwalisa iimfungo zami kuSomnini, iye, phambi kwabantu bakhe boke,

esirhodlweni sethempeli lakaSomnini ngaphakathi kwakho, Jerusalema. Haleluya!
