Kumkhaleli; ngeenodo zengoma ethi, “Jeduthuni”; laka-Asafa; irhubo.

Ngilila kuZimu, ngiyarhuwelela; iye, ngilila kuZimu kobana angizwe.

Elangeni lesizi lami ngifuna uSomnini, ebusuku izandla zami zeluliwe, azidinwa; umphefumulwami wala ukududuzwa.
4
Ngiyabubula nangikhumbula wena Zimu, ngiyazindla nommoyami udambe.
5
Ungenza ngiphilelwe, iye, ngikhathazekile namezwi anginawo
6
lokha nangicabanga amalanga wakade neminyaka eyadlulako.
7
Ebusuku ngikhumbula iinodo zami; ngibubule ngehliziywami bengiwurubajeke, ummoyami uguduze, ngizibuze:

USomandla ulahlela safuthi, angasabi nomusa godu na?
9
Ukwethembeka kwakhe sekuphelile na? Ilizwi lakhe selikhawukile iinzukulwana ngeenzukulwana na?
10
Ingabe uZimu ukhohlwe ukuba nesirhawu, namkha ngelaka lakhe ususa isisa sakhe na?
11
Yeke ngafika esiphethweni sokuthi: Imbangela yenceba lami kukobana isidla songoPhezulu siphendukile!
12
Kodwana ngizahlala ngikhumbula izenzo zakaSomnini. Mbala ngikhumbule iimangaliso zakho zekadeni,
13
ngihumuze ngemisebenzakho yoke, ngizindle ngezenzo zakho zamandla.
14
Zimu, indlelakho icwengile! Ngimuphi uzinyana omkhulu njengoZimu?
15
Wena unguZimu owenza iimangaliso, ubonakalise amandlakho phakathi kwabantu.
16
Ngengalwakho wahlenga abantu bakho, iye, iinzukulwana zakaJakopo noJosefa.
17
Lokha amanzi abona wena Zimu, iye, lokha nakubonako, ayayaluka; ngitjho namanzi amanengi ayanyakaza.
18
Amafu athulula amanzi, umphezulu wararamba, kwabenya imibanakho phasi phezulu.
19
Ukuthuthumba kwakho kwaba njengetjhada levili lekarana; imibanakho yaphazima enarheni yoke, iphasi lanyakaza belazamazama.
20
Indlelakho beyidabula elwandle, iye, imizilakho isemanzini anamandla, nokho amagadangwakho bekangabonakali.
21
Warhola abantu bakho njengezimvu, iye, ngesandla sakaMosi no-Aroni.
