kateri mislijo hudo v srcu, vsak dan se shajajo, da snujejo vojsko.

Brusijo jezik svoj, da je podoben kačjemu, strup gadji je pod njih ustnami. (Sela.)

Obvaruj me, GOSPOD, rok krivičnika, moža silovitega me brani, ki mi mislijo izpodbiti noge.

Skrivaj so mi nastavili prevzetniki zanko in vrvi, razgrnili so mi mrežo poleg pota, zadrge mi napravili. (Sela.)

Rekel sem GOSPODU: Bog mogočni moj si ti; čuj, GOSPOD, prošenj mojih glas!

Jehova, Gospod, je moč zveličanja mojega; glavo mojo si pokril ob dnevi boja.

Ne dopusti, GOSPOD, da se brezbožniku izpolnijo želje, hude naklepe njegove ne pospešuj, povzdigovali bi se! (Sela.)

Glave njih, ki me obdajajo – ustnic njih nadloga naj jih pokrije!

Žerjavica pridi nadnje, v ogenj naj jih vržejo, v jame, odkoder več ne vstanejo.

Mož zbadljivega jezika se ne utrdi na zemlji; mož silovitosti – hudo ga bo gonilo do pogube.

Vem, da se bo GOSPOD potegnil za pravdo siromaku, za pravico potrebnim.Res, pravični bodo hvalili ime tvoje, pošteni bivali pred tvojim obličjem.
