Dvigni se, o zemlje sodnik, daj povračilo prevzetnim!

Doklej bodo brezbožni, o GOSPOD, doklej bodo veselja poskakovali brezbožni?

Ustijo se in govore predrzno, ponašajo se vsi, ki delajo krivico.

Tvoje ljudstvo, GOSPOD, teptajo v prah in tlačijo tvojo dediščino.

Moré vdovo in tujca in ubijajo sirote,

govoreč: Ne vidi GOSPOD in ne pazi Bog Jakobov.

Doumejte vendar, nespametni med ljudstvom, in neumneži, kdaj bodete razumni?

Ali on, ki je vsadil uho, bi ne slišal? ali on, ki je naredil oko, bi ne videl?

Ali on, ki pokori narode, bi ne grajal, on, ki uči ljudi modrosti?

GOSPOD pozna misli človeške, da so zgolj ničemurnost.

da mu pripraviš pokoj od dni nesreče, dokler se ne izkoplje brezbožniku jama.

Kajti GOSPOD ne zavrže ljudstva svojega in dediščine svoje ne zapusti.

Temuč k pravičnosti se mora vrniti sodba, in za njo pojdejo vsi, ki so pravega srca.

Kadar mi je premnogo skrbi na srcu, tolažbe tvoje razveseljujejo dušo mojo.

Ali bi bil s teboj združen prestol pogube, ki snuje hudobnost pod pretvezo postave?

Četoma se zbirajo proti pravičnega duši in obsojajo kri nedolžno.

A GOSPOD mi je grad visoki in Bog moj skala pribežališča mojega.On obrača proti njim njih krivico in po njih hudobnosti jih pokonča; pokonča jih GOSPOD, naš Bog.
