Psalm Davidov, v spomin. GOSPOD, v srdu svojem me ne pokori in v togoti svoji me ne kaznuj.

Kajti pšice tvoje so se zabodle vame in težko me tlači roka tvoja.
3
Nič zdravega ni na mesu mojem zavoljo srda tvojega, miru ni v kosteh mojih zavoljo greha mojega.
4
Zakaj krivice moje mi presezajo glavo, kakor težko breme me tlačijo, pretežke so zame.
5
Rane moje smrdé in se gnojé, zavoljo nespameti moje.
6
Mučim se in sključen sem jako, ves dan hodim v žalni obleki.

Kajti ledja moja so polna prisada in nič ni zdravega na mesu mojem.
8
Oslabljen sem in potrt presilno, tulim od stokanja svojega srca.
9
Gospod, pred teboj je vse hrepenenje moje in zdihovanje moje ti ni skrito.
10
Srce moje polje, zapustila me je moja krepkost, tudi luč mojih oči mi je zamrla.
11
Ljubljenci moji in prijatelji moji so stopili vstran zavoljo nadloge moje, in sorodniki moji stoje oddaleč.
12
Tisti pa, ki mi prežé po življenju, mi stavijo zanke, in kateri iščejo nesreče moje, govoré o pogubi in izmišljajo ves dan zvijače.
13
Jaz pa kakor glušec ne slišim in sem kakor mutec, ki ne odpre svojih ust.
14
Res, postal sem kakor on, ki ne sliši in ki mu ni dokazov v ustih.
15
Kajti tebe čakam, o GOSPOD, ti zame odgovoriš, Gospod Bog moj.
16
Ker rekel sem: Da se pač ne radujejo nad menoj! Ko omahuje noga moja, se povzdigujejo proti meni.
17
Zdajpazdaj padem, in bolečina moja mi je vedno pred očmi.
18
Kajti krivico svojo pripoznavam in greh moj me skrbi.
19
Neprijatelji moji pa so čvrsti in močni, in množijo se, kateri me sovražijo iz krivih vzrokov.
20
In vračajoč hudo za dobro, mi nasprotujejo, zato ker hodim za dobrim.
21
Ne zapústi me, o GOSPOD, Bog moj, ne bivaj daleč od mene!Hiti mi na pomoč, o GOSPOD, rešenje moje!
