Herre Gud Sebaot,hur länge skall du vredgas på ditt folks bön?

Du har låtit dem äta tårars brödoch givit dem tårars dryck i fullt mått.

Du gör oss till ett stridsämne för våra grannar,och våra fiender hånar oss.

Gud Sebaot, upprätta oss,låt ditt ansikte lysa så att vi blir frälsta.

En vinstock flyttade du från Egypten,du jagade bort hednafolken och planterade den.

Du röjde rum för denoch den slog rot och uppfyllde landet.

Bergen övertäcktes av dess skuggaoch Guds cedrar av dess rankor.

Den bredde ut sina revor ända till havetoch sina skott ända till floden.

Varför har du brutit ner dess mur,så att alla som går förbi kan plocka av den?

Vildsvinet från skogen frossar på den,smådjuren på marken äter av den.

Gud Sebaot, vänd åter,blicka ner från himlen,se till och vårda dig om denna vinstock!

Skydda den vinstock som din högra hand har planterat,den son som du har fostrat åt dig.

Den är förbränd av eld och nerhuggen.Inför din förebrående blick går de under.

Håll din hand över mannen vid din högra sida,över den människoson som du har fostrat åt dig.

Då skall vi inte vika ifrån dig.Behåll oss vid liv, och vi skall åkalla ditt namn.Herre Gud Sebaot, upprätta oss,låt ditt ansikte lysa så att vi blir frälsta.
