Nampenda Mwenyezi-Mungu, kwa maana anisikia, maana amesikia kilio cha ombi langu.
2
Yeye amenitegea sikio, hivyo nitamwomba muda wote niishio.
3
Hatari ya kifo ilinizunguka, vitisho vya kaburi vilinivamia; nilijawa na mahangaiko na majonzi.
4
Kisha nikamlilia Mwenyezi-Mungu: “Ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, tafadhali unisalimishe!”
5
Mwenyezi-Mungu amejaa wema na uaminifu; Mungu wetu ni mwenye huruma.
6
Mwenyezi-Mungu huwalinda wanyofu; nilipokuwa nimekandamizwa aliniokoa.
7
Uwe na utulivu mkuu, ee nafsi yangu, maana Mwenyezi-Mungu amenitendea mema.
8
Ameniokoa kifoni na kufuta machozi yangu; akanilinda nisije nikaanguka.
9
Nitatembea mbele yake Mwenyezi-Mungu, katika nchi ya watu walio hai.
10
Nilikuwa na imani hata niliposema: “Mimi nimetaabika mno.”
11
Hata nilisema kwa hofu yangu: “Binadamu wote hawaaminiki!”
12
Nimrudishie nini Mwenyezi-Mungu, kwa ukarimu wote alionitendea?
13
Nitamtolea tambiko ya divai kwa kunikomboa, nitaomba kwa jina lake Mwenyezi-Mungu.
14
Nitamtimizia Mwenyezi-Mungu nadhiri zangu, mbele ya watu wake wote.
15
Kifo cha waaminifu wake Mwenyezi-Mungu si jambo dogo mbele yake.
16
Ee Mwenyezi-Mungu, mimi ni mtumishi wako; ni mtumishi wako, mtoto wa mjakazi wako; umenifungulia vifungo vyangu.
17
Nitakutolea tambiko za shukrani, na kukupa heshima zangu.
18
Nitakutimizia ahadi zangu, ee Mwenyezi-Mungu mbele ya watu wako wote,
19
waliokusanyika hekaluni mwako, katikati ya Yerusalemu. Msifuni Mwenyezi-Mungu!
