Aur Abrám kí bíwí Sáraí ke koí aulád na húí. Us kí ek Misrí lauṉḍí thí, jis ká nám Hájirah thá.

Aur Sáraí ne Abrám se kahá, ki Dekh, Ḳhudáwand ne mujhe to aulád se mahrúm rakkhá hai, so tú merí lauṉḍí ke pás já; sháyad us se merá ghar ábád ho. Aur Abrám ne Sáraí kí bát mání.

Aur Abrám ko mulk i Kan‘án meṉ rahte das baras ho gaye the jab us kí bíwí Sáraí ne apní Misrí lauṉḍí use dí, ki us kí bíwí bane.

Aur wuh Hájirah ke pás gayá, aur wuh hámila húí: aur jab use ma‘lúm húá, ki wuh hámila ho gayí, to apní bíbí ko haqír jánne lagí.

Tab Sáraí ne Abrám se kahá, ki J o zulm mujh par húá wuh terí gardan par hai: maiṉ ne apní lauṉḍí tere ág̣osh meṉ dí; aur ab jo us ne áp ko hámila dekhá, to maiṉ us kí nazaroṉ meṉ haqír ho gayí: so Ḳhudáwand mere aur tere darmiyán insáf kare.

Abrám ne Sáraí se kahá, ki Terí lauṉḍí tere háth meṉ hai: jo tujhe bhalá dikháí de, so us ke sáth kar. Tab Sáraí us par saḳhtí karne lagí aur wuh us ke pás se bhág gayí.

Aur wuh Ḳhudáwand ke firishte ko biyábán meṉ pání ke ek chashme ke pás milí: yih wuhí chashma hai jo Shor kí ráh par hai.

Aur us ne kahá, Ai Sáraí kí lauṉḍí Hájirah, tú kaháṉ se áí aur kidhar játí hai? Us ne kahá, ki Maiṉ apní bíbí Sáraí ke pás se bhág áí húṉ.

Ḳhudáwand ke firishte ne us se kahá, ki Tú apní bíbí ke pás lauṭ já, aur apne ko us ke qabze meṉ kar de.
10
Aur Ḳhudáwand ke firishte ne us se kahá, ki Maiṉ terí aulád ko bahut baṛháúṉgá, yaháṉ tak ki kasrat ke sabab se us ká shumár na ho sakegá.

Aur Ḳhudáwand ke firishte ne us se kahá, ki Tú hámila hai aur tere beṭá hogá; us ká nám Isma‘íl rakhná, is liye ki Ḳhudáwand ne terá dukh sun liyá.

Wuh gorḳhar kí tarah ázád mard hogá; us ká háth sab ke ḳhiláf aur sab ke háth us ke ḳhiláf hoṉge; aur wuh apne sab bháiyoṉ ke sámne basá rahegá.

Aur Hájirah ne Ḳhudáwand ká, jis ne us se báteṉ kíṉ Attá El Roí nám rakkhá, ya‘ní Ai Ḳhudá, tú basír hai, kyúṉki us ne kahá, Kyá maiṉ ne yaháṉ bhí apne dekhnewále ko játe húe dekhá?

Isí sabab se us kúeṉ ká nám Baír la Hai Roí paṛ gayá; wuh Qádis aur Barid ke darmiyán hai.
15
Aur Abrám se Hájirah ke ek beṭá húá; aur Abrám ne apne us beṭe ká nám, jo Hájirah se paidá húá Ismá‘íl rakkhá.
16
Aur jab Abrám se Hájirah ke Ismá‘íl paidá húá, tab Abrám chhiyásí baras ká thá.
