Jab Abrám ninánawe baras ká húá, tab Ḳhudáwand Abrám ko nazar áyá, aur us se kahá, ki Maiṉ Ḳhudá e Qádir húṉ; tú mere huzúr meṉ chal, aur kámil ho.

Aur maiṉ apne aur tere darmiyán ‘ahd báṉdhúṉgá, aur tujhe bahut ziyáda baṛháúṉgá.
3
Tab Abrám sarnigún ho gayá, aur Ḳhudá ne us se hamkalám hokar farmáyá,
4
ki Dekh, merá ‘ahd tere sáth hai; aur tú bahut qaumoṉ ká báp hogá.
5
Aur terá nám phir Abrám nahíṉ kahláegá, balki terá nám Abrahám hogá; kyúṉki maiṉ ne tujhe bahut qaumoṉ ká báp ṭhahrá diyá hai.
6
Aur maiṉ tujhe bahut baromand karúṉgá, aur qaumeṉ terí nasl se hoṉgí, aur bádsháh terí aulád meṉ se barpá hoṉge.
7
Aur maiṉ apne aur tere darmiyán, aur tere ba‘d terí nasl ke darmiyán un kí sab pushtoṉ ke liye, apná ‘ahd, jo abadí ‘ahd hogá, báṉdhúṉgá, táki maiṉ terá aur tere ba‘d terí nasl ká Ḳhudá rahúṉ.

Aur maiṉ tujh ko, aur tere ba‘d terí nasl ko, Kan‘án ká tamám mulk, jis meṉ tú pardesí hai aisá dúṉgá, ki wuh dáimí milkíyat ho jáe; aur maiṉ un ká Ḳhudá húṉgá.
9
Phir Ḳhudá ne Abrahám se kahá, ki Tú mere ‘ahd ko mánná, aur tere ba‘d terí nasl pusht dar pusht use máne.
10
Aur merá ‘ahd, jo mere aur tere darmiyán, aur tere ba‘d terí nasl ke darmiyán hai, aur jise tum mánoge, so yih hai, ki tum meṉ se har ek farzand i narína ká ḳhatna kiyá jáe.
11
Aur tum apne badan kí khalṛí ká ḳhatna kiyá karná; aur yih us ‘ahd ká nishán hogá, jo mere aur tumháre darmiyán hai.
12
Tumháre háṉ pusht dar pusht har laṛke ká ḳhatna, jab wuh áṭh roz ká ho, kiyá jáe, ḳhwáh wuh ghar meṉ paidá ho, ḳhwáh use kisí pardesí se ḳharídá ho, jo terí nasl se nahíṉ.

Lázim hai, ki tere ḳhánazád aur tere zarḳharíd ká ḳhatna kiyá jáe, aur merá ‘ahd tumháre jism meṉ abadí ‘ahd hogá.
14
Aur wuh farzand i narína, jis ká ḳhatna na húá ho, apne logoṉ meṉ se káṭ ḍálá jáe, kyúṉki us ne merá ‘ahd toṛá.
15
Aur Ḳhudá ne Abrahám se kahá, ki Sáraí jo terí bíwí hai, so us ko Sáraí na pukárná; us ká nám Sárah hogá.
16
Aur maiṉ use barakat dúṉgá, aur us se bhí tujhe ek beṭá baḳhshúṉgá; yaqínan maiṉ use barakat dúṉgá, ki qaumeṉ us kí nasl se hoṉgí aur ‘álam ke bádsháh us se paidá hoṉge.
17
Tab Abrahám sarnigún húá, aur haṉskar dil meṉ kahne lagá, ki Kyá sau baras ke buḍḍhe se beṭá hogá; aur kyá Sárah ke jo nawwe baras kí hai, aulád hogí?
18
Aur Abrahám ne Ḳhudá se kahá, ki Kásh Ismá‘íl tere huzúr jítá rahe!
19
Tab Ḳhudá ne farmáyá, ki Beshakk terí bíwí Sárah ke tujh se beṭá hogá; tú us ká nám Izháq rakhná; aur maiṉ us se, aur phir us kí aulád se, apná ‘ahd, jo abadí ‘ahd hai, báṉdhúṉgá.

Aur Ismá‘íl ke haqq meṉ bhí maiṉ ne terí du‘á suní: dekh, maiṉ use barakat dúṉgá, aur use baromand karúṉgá, aur use bahut baṛháúṉgá; aur us se bárah sardár paidá hoṉge, aur maiṉ use baṛí qaum banáúṉgá.

Lekin maiṉ apná ‘ahd Izháq se báṉdhúṉgá, jo agle sál isí waqt i mu‘aiyan par, Sárah se paidá hogá.
22
Aur jab Ḳhudá Abrahám se báteṉ kar chuká, to us ke pás se úpar chalá gayá.
23
Tab Abrahám ne apne beṭe Ismá‘íl ko aur sab ḳhánazádoṉ, aur apne sab zarḳharídoṉ ko, ya‘ní apne ghar ke sab mardoṉ ko liyá aur usí roz Ḳhudá ke hukm ke mutábiq un ká ḳhatna kiyá.

Abrahám ninánawe baras ká thá jab us ká ḳhatna húá.
25
Aur jab us ke beṭe Ismá‘íl ká ḳhatna húá to wuh terah baras ká thá.
26
Abrahám aur us ke bete Ismá‘íl ká ḳhatna ek hí din húá.
27
Aur us ke ghar ke sab mardoṉ ká ḳhatna, ḳhánazádoṉ aur un ká bhí jo pardesíoṉ se ḳharíde gaye the, us ke sáth húá.
