V tobě, Hospodine, hledám útočiště, kéž nejsem nikdy zahanben!

Ve své spravedlnosti mě vysvoboď a vytrhni! Nakloň ke mně své ucho a zachraň mě!

Buď mi skalním příbytkem, kam budu stále přicházet. Přikázal jsi, abych byl zachráněn, neboť jsi má skála a má tvrz.
4
Bože můj, vytrhni mě z moci ničemy, z rukou bídáka a surovce.
5
Tys má naděje, Panovníku Hospodine; od mládí mám k tobě důvěru.

O tebe se opírám od mateřského lůna; od života matky sis mě oddělil. Budu tě ustavičně chválit.

Mnohým jsem byl za znamení, ale tys byl mé pevné útočiště.

Má ústa jsou plná tvé chvály, celý den tě oslavuji.

Nezamítej mě v čas stáří; když končí mé síly, neopouštěj mě.

Vždyť nepřátelé mluví proti mně, střeží mou duši, radí se spolu

a říkají: Bůh ho opustil. Pronásledujte ho a chyťte ho, není, kdo by ho vysvobodil.

Bože, nevzdaluj se ode mě; Bože můj, pospěš mi na pomoc!

Ať se stydí, ať pominou ti, kdo obviňují mou duši. Potupa a hanba ať přikryje ty, kdo usilují o mé zlo.

Ale já budu vytrvale čekat a stále více tě budu nade vše chválit.

Má ústa vyprávějí o tvé spravedlnosti, celý den hovoří o tvé spáse – vždyť ji nedokážu vypovědět.

Přistoupím k mocným činům Panovníka Hospodina. Tvoji spravedlnost, jen tvoji, budu připomínat.

Bože, vyučoval jsi mě od mého mládí, doposud zvěstuji tvé divy.

Bože, neopouštěj mě ani ve stáří, v šedinách, dokud neoznámím tvou moc své generaci a tvé mocné činy všem, kteří přijdou.
19
Tvá spravedlnost, Bože, sahá až k výšinám. To, cos udělal, je velké; Bože, kdo je jako ty?
20
Dals mi spatřit mnohá a zlá soužení. Vracíš mě k životu a znovu mě vyvádíš z hlubin země.

Zvyšuješ mou velikost a znovu mě potěšuješ.

I já tě budu chválit při harfě, tvou věrnost, můj Bože. Budu tě opěvovat při lyře, Svatý Izraele.

Mé rty budou jásat, když tě budu opěvovat, i má duše, kterou jsi vykoupil.
24
I můj jazyk si bude opakovat denně o tvé spravedlnosti, neboť ti, kdo usilovali o mé zlo, byli zahanbeni a museli se stydět.
