Tą dieną VIEŠPATS savo kietu, galingu ir aštriu kalaviju nubaus Leviataną, tą pirmykštį slibiną, Leviataną, tą suktą slibiną. Jis sunaikins slibiną jūroje.

Tą dieną giedokite giesmę apie šaunų vynuogyną!

Aš, VIEŠPATS, prižiūriu jį ir nuolatos palaistau; kad jam kas žalos nepadarytų, saugau jį naktį ir dieną.

Pykčio mano širdyje nebėra. Bet jei pasirodytų jame erškėčių ir dagių, aš pakilčiau prieš juos ir sudeginčiau juos kartu.

O jei užuovėjos jis pas mane ieškos? Tesudaro taiką su manimi! Taip! Tedaro taiką su manimi!

Tą dieną pasigirs didysis ragas, ir dingusieji Asirijos šalyje, ir išblaškytieji Egipto krašte rinksis ir garbins VIEŠPATĮ ant šventojo kalno Jeruzalėje.
