De HEERE regeert, laat de aarde zich verheugen en vele kustlanden zich verblijden.
2
Wolken en donkerheid zijn rondom Hem, gerechtigheid en recht zijn het fundament van Zijn troon.
3
Vuur gaat voor Zijn aangezicht uit en zet rondom Zijn tegenstanders in vlam.
4
Zijn bliksemflitsen verlichten de wereld, de aarde ziet ze en beeft.
5
De bergen smelten als was voor het aangezicht van de HEERE, voor het aangezicht van de Heere van heel de aarde.
6
De hemel verkondigt Zijn gerechtigheid en alle volken zien Zijn heerlijkheid.
7
Beschaamd moeten zijn allen die beelden dienen en zich op de afgoden beroemen. Buig u voor Hem neer, alle goden.
8
Sion heeft het gehoord en zich verblijd, de dochters van Juda hebben zich verheugd vanwege Uw oordelen, HEERE.
9
Want U, HEERE, bent de Allerhoogste over de hele aarde, U bent zeer hoog verheven boven alle goden.
10
U die de HEERE liefhebt, haat het kwade. Hij bewaart de ziel van Zijn gunstelingen, Hij redt hen uit de hand van de goddelozen.
11
Licht is gezaaid voor de rechtvaardige en blijdschap voor de oprechten van hart.
12
Rechtvaardigen, verblijd u in de HEERE; loof Hem ter gedachtenis aan Zijn heiligheid.
