Aduceți laude, mereu, Pentru al nostru Dumnezeu, Căci îndurarea Domnului Ține în veacul veacului!

Așa să zică cei aflați, De Dumnezeu, răscumpărați, Pe care El i-a izbăvit De cei care i-au dușmănit,
3
Strângându-i iar, pe fiecare, De prin ținuturile-n care Fuseseră împrăștiați Și printre neamuri alungați. Din răsărit El i-a adus, Din miazănoapte, din apus Și de la mare. Ei erau
4
Pierduți atunci, și pribegeau La întâmplare, prin pustie, Pe căi de cari nimeni nu știe – Căci se vădiră neumblate – Și nu găseau nici o cetate În care să fi locuit.
5
De sete ei au suferit, Iar foametea i-a măcinat.
6
În strâmtorare, au strigat La Domnul, care – iertător – I-a scos din tot necazul lor.
7
Pe un drum drept i-a însoțit Și-apoi un loc de locuit, Într-o cetate, El le-a dat.
8
O, de-ar fi Domnul lăudat, Pentru-a Lui bunătate mare, Pentru minunile pe care El le-a făcut printre cei vii, Pentru ai oamenilor fii!
9
Iată că El a adăpat Sufletul celui însetat Și bunătăți a dăruit Celui care a flămânzit.
10
Aceia care se găseau În întuneric, viețuiau În umbra morții, prinși în fiare Și în ticăloșie mare,
11
Pentru că au nesocotit Sfatul ce le-a fost dăruit De Cel Prea-Nalt, fiind mereu, Ne-ascultători de Dumnezeu Și răzvrătiți în contra Lui, Stârnind mânia Domnului.
12
Dar Dumnezeu i-a pedepsit; Prin suferință i-a smerit, Iar ajutor nu au avut Atuncea când ei au căzut.
13
În strâmtorare, au strigat La Domnul, cari i-a ajutat. Vădindu-Se îndurător, I-a scos din tot necazul lor.
14
Domnul i-a ridicat de jos, Din întuneric El i-a scos, Sfărmând lanțul ce se vădea, În umbra morții că-i ținea.
15
O, de-ar fi Domnul lăudat, Pe tot pământul, ne-ncetat, Pentru-a Lui bunătate mare, Pentru minunile pe care El le-a făcut printre cei vii, Pentru ai oamenilor fii!
16
El a zdrobit porți de aramă Și a sfărmat – de bună seamă – Zăvoarele cele-ncuiate Care din fier au fost lucrate.
17
Nebunii, prin purtarea lor, Prin vina făr’delegilor, Ajunseră nenorociți,
18
La poarta morții părăsiți. Sufletul lor se dezgustase De hrana ce o căpătase.
19
În strâmtorare, au strigat La Domnul, cari i-a ajutat. Vădindu-Se îndurător, I-a scos din tot necazul lor.
20
Cuvântul Său i-a vindecat Și-apoi din groapă i-a săltat. I-a ridicat, din nou, în sus, Căci izbăvire le-a adus.
21
O, de-ar fi Domnul lăudat, Pe tot pământul, ne-ncetat, Pentru-a Lui bunătate mare, Pentru minunile pe care El le-a făcut printre cei vii, Pentru ai oamenilor fii!
22
Jertfe să-I dați, lui Dumnezeu, De mulțumire și mereu, Lucrarea Lui să o vestiți În lume și s-o însoțiți Cu strigăte de bucurie Și chiote de veselie.
23
Cei care negustori erau Și pe corăbii se aflau,
24
Văzut-au lucrul Domnului, În mijlocul adâncului.
25
Vânturi a pus, să sufle tare Și a iscat valuri în mare.
26
Ele, spre ceruri, ridicau Și în adâncuri coborau Apoi corăbiile-aflate Pe-ale lor creste înspumate, Iar sufletul oamenilor Pierdut era, în fața lor.
27
Oamenii, prinși de amețeală, Păreau că-s beți, fără-ndoială, Și toată iscusința lor Nu le era de ajutor.
28
În strâmtorare, au strigat La Domnul, cari i-a ajutat. Vădindu-Se îndurător, I-a scos din tot necazul lor.
29
Domnul, furtuna, a oprit Și valurile-a potolit.
30
Oameni-atunci s-au bucurat, Iar Dumnezeu i-a ajutat Ca să ajungă, negreșit, Pân’ la limanul mult dorit.
31
O, de-ar fi Domnul lăudat, Pe tot pământul, ne-ncetat, Pentru-a Lui bunătate mare, Pentru minunile pe care El le-a făcut, printre cei vii, Pentru ai oamenilor fii!
32
În al bătrânilor sobor Și-n adunarea tuturor Popoarelor, fie-nălțat Al nostru Domn și lăudat!
33
El, în pustiu, poate preface Râuri. De-asemeni, poate face Izvoare de a fi secat, Ajungând un pământ uscat.
34
Din țara roditoare, iată, El face o țară sărată, Pentru că rele săvârșesc Aceia cari o locuiesc.
35
Tot El e Cel ce poate face Pustiu-n iaz a se preface, În timp ce un pământ uscat E, de izvoare, adăpat.
36
Pe cei flămânzi, El îi așează Acolo. Ei întemeiază Atuncea, o cetate-n care Să locuiască fiecare.
37
Ogoarele le pregătesc, Le-nsămânțează, vii sădesc Și-apoi, la vremea roadelor, Adună roada muncii lor.
38
Asupra lor, Domnul veghează Mereu, și-i binecuvântează; Necontenit, El îi sporește Și-ale lor vite le-nmulțește.
39
Cumva, de sunt împuținați, Ori asupriți, sau apăsați,
40
Domnul, asupra celor cari Se dovedesc a fi mai mari, Varsă dispreț și prin pustie, Îi poartă-apoi în pribegie.
41
Dar îl ridică, negreșit, Pe-acela care e lipsit; Pe nevoiaș îl izbăvește, Iar al său neam îl înmulțește Încât ajungea-a fi apoi, Asemeni turmelor de oi.
42
„Oamenii cei neprihăniți Sunt bucuroși și fericiți Că orișice nelegiuire Dispare, din întreaga fire!”
43
Cel care, înțelept, se ține, Mereu dar, să ia seama bine, La bunătățile pe care Al nostru Dumnezeu le are.
