Ann an là mo theinn dh’iarr mi an Tighearna; shìneadh mo làmh a‑mach anns an oidhche gun sgur; dhiùlt m’anam sòlas a ghabhail.

Chuimhnich mi air Dia, agus bha mi fo bhuaireas; rinn mi gearan agus chlaoidheadh mo spiorad. Selah.
4
Chùm thu mo shùilean nam faireachadh; tha mi iarganach, agus chan urrainn mi labhairt.
5
Smaoinich mi air na làithean o shean, air bliadhnachan na h‑aimsir chèin.
6
Chuimhnich mi mo cheòl anns an oidhche; rinn mi cainnt rim chridhe fhèin, agus rannsaich mo spiorad gu geur:

An tilg an Tighearna uaithe gu bràth, agus nach nochd e a dheagh-ghean nas mò?
8
An do sguir a choibhneas am feasd. An d’fhàilnich a fhacal o linn gu linn?
9
An do dhearmad Dia a bhith gràsmhor? An do dhruid e na chorraich a chaomh-thròcairean? Selah.
10
An sin thubhairt mise, Is e seo m’anfhannachd; is e caochladh deaslàmh an Tì as àirde a tha ann.
11
Cuimhnichidh mi obraichean an Tighearna; gu deimhinn, cuimhnichidh mi d’iongantasan on aimsir chèin;
12
Agus beachd-smaoinichidh mi air d’obraichean gu lèir, agus air do ghnìomharan labhraidh mi.
13

Bha guth do thàirneanaich anns an speur; shoillsich do dhealanaich an saoghal; ghluaiseadh agus chriothnaich an talamh.

Anns an fhairge bha do shlighe, agus do cheuman anns na h‑uisgeachan mòra; agus cha d’aithnicheadh luirg do chas.
20
Threòraich thu mar threud do shluagh, le làimh Mhaois agus Aaroin.
