ഗായകസംഘനേതാവിന്; ദാവീദിന്റെ സങ്കീര്ത്തനം [1] സര്വേശ്വരാ, അങ്ങ് എന്നെ പരിശോധിച്ച് അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു,

എന്റെ വ്യാപാരങ്ങളെല്ലാം അവിടുന്ന് അറിയുന്നു. എന്റെ നിരൂപണങ്ങള് ദൂരത്തുനിന്ന് അവിടുന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

എന്റെ നടപ്പും കിടപ്പും അവിടുന്നു പരിശോധിച്ചറിയുന്നു. എന്റെ സകല വഴിയും അവിടുന്നു നന്നായി അറിയുന്നു.

ഒരു വാക്ക് എന്റെ നാവിലെത്തുന്നതിനു മുമ്പു തന്നെ, സര്വേശ്വരാ, അവിടുന്ന് അത് അറിയുന്നു.

മുമ്പിലും പിമ്പിലും അവിടുന്ന് എനിക്കു കാവലായുണ്ട്. അവിടുത്തെ കരം എന്റെ മേലുണ്ട്.

ഈ അറിവ് എനിക്ക് അത്യദ്ഭുതമാകുന്നു. എനിക്ക് അപ്രാപ്യമാംവിധം അത് ഉന്നതമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

അങ്ങയെ ഒളിച്ചു ഞാന് എവിടെ പോകും? തിരുസന്നിധിവിട്ടു ഞാന് എവിടേക്ക് ഓടും?

ഞാന് സ്വര്ഗത്തില് കയറിയാല് അങ്ങ് അവിടെയുണ്ട്. പാതാളത്തില് കിടക്ക വിരിച്ചാല് അങ്ങ് അവിടെയുണ്ട്.

ചിറകു ധരിച്ചു ഞാന് കിഴക്കേ അതിര്ത്തിയോളം പറന്നാലും, പടിഞ്ഞാറു സമുദ്രത്തിന്റെ അതിര്ത്തിയില് പോയി പാര്ത്താലും,

അവിടെയും അങ്ങയുടെ കരങ്ങള് എന്നെ നയിക്കും, അവിടുത്തെ വലങ്കൈ എന്നെ സംരക്ഷിക്കും.

“അന്ധകാരം എന്നെ മൂടട്ടെ, എന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള പ്രകാശം ഇരുട്ടായിത്തീരട്ടെ” എന്നു ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞാല്,

കൂരിരുട്ടുപോലും അങ്ങേക്ക് ഇരുണ്ടതായിരിക്കുകയില്ല. രാത്രി പകല്പോലെ പ്രകാശിക്കും. ഇരുളും വെളിച്ചവും അങ്ങേക്ക് ഒരുപോലെയാണല്ലോ.

അവിടുന്നാണ് എന്റെ അന്തരേന്ദ്രിയങ്ങള് സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത്, അമ്മയുടെ ഉദരത്തില് എന്നെ മെനഞ്ഞത് അവിടുന്നാണ്.

ഞാന് അങ്ങയെ പ്രകീര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു. അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ അദ്ഭുതകരമായി സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു. അവിടുത്തെ സൃഷ്ടികള് എത്ര വിസ്മയനീയം! അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ നന്നായി അറിയുന്നു.

ഞാന് നിഗൂഢതയില് ഉരുവാക്കപ്പെടുകയും, ഭൂമിയുടെ അധോഭാഗങ്ങളില്വച്ചു സൂക്ഷ്മതയോടെ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോള്, എന്റെ രൂപം അങ്ങേക്കു മറഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല.

ഞാന് പിണ്ഡാകാരമായിരുന്നപ്പോള് അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ ദര്ശിച്ചു. എന്റെ ആയുസ്സിന്റെ നാളുകള് ഞാന് ഉരുവാകുന്നതിനു മുമ്പുതന്നെ, അങ്ങ് അവിടുത്തെ പുസ്തകത്തില് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു.

ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങയുടെ വിചാരങ്ങള് എത്ര അഗാധം. അവ എത്രയോ വിശാലം!

അവ മണല്ത്തരികളെക്കാള് എത്രയോ അധികം? എനിക്കവ എണ്ണിത്തീര്ക്കാന് കഴിയുകയില്ല. ഞാന് ഉണരുമ്പോഴും അങ്ങയുടെകൂടെ ആയിരിക്കും.

ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങു ദുഷ്ടരെ നിഗ്രഹിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കില്! കൊലപാതകികള് എന്നെ വിട്ടുപോയിരുന്നെങ്കില്!

അവര് അങ്ങേക്കെതിരെ ദുഷ്ടതയോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു. തിരുനാമത്തെ അവര് ദുഷിക്കുന്നു.

അങ്ങയെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാന് ദ്വേഷിക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ? അങ്ങയെ ധിക്കരിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാന് വെറുക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ?

ഞാന് അവരെ പൂര്ണമായി വെറുക്കുന്നു, ഞാന് അവരെ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളായി ഗണിക്കുന്നു.

ദൈവമേ, എന്നെ പരിശോധിച്ച് എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അറിയണമേ. എന്നെ പരീക്ഷിച്ച് എന്റെ വിചാരങ്ങള് ഗ്രഹിക്കണമേ.

ദുര്മാര്ഗത്തിലാണോ ഞാന് ചരിക്കുന്നത് എന്നു നോക്കണമേ. ശാശ്വതമാര്ഗത്തിലൂടെ എന്നെ നയിക്കണമേ.
