സര്വേശ്വരാ, ദുഷ്ടരെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ദൈവമേ, പ്രത്യക്ഷനായാലും,

ലോകത്തിന്റെ ന്യായാധിപതിയേ, എഴുന്നേല്ക്കണമേ. അഹങ്കാരികള്ക്ക് അര്ഹമായ ശിക്ഷ നല്കണമേ.

സര്വേശ്വരാ, ദുഷ്ടന്മാര് എത്രനാള് തങ്ങളുടെ ദുഷ്ടതയില് ആഹ്ലാദിക്കും?

അവര് ഗര്വോടെ വാക്കുകള് ചൊരിയുന്നു. ദുഷ്കര്മികളായ അവര് വമ്പു പറയുന്നു,

സര്വേശ്വരാ, അവര് അങ്ങയുടെ ജനത്തെ നശിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങയുടെ അവകാശമായ ജനത്തെ പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.

അവര് വിധവയെയും പരദേശിയെയും വധിക്കുന്നു; അനാഥരെ കൊല്ലുന്നു.

സര്വേശ്വരന് കാണുന്നില്ല; യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്ന് അവര് പറയുന്നു.

മൂഢരേ, അറിഞ്ഞുകൊള്വിന്; ഭോഷന്മാരേ എപ്പോഴാണ് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിവേകമുദിക്കുക?

ചെവി നല്കിയ ദൈവം കേള്ക്കുന്നില്ലെന്നോ? കണ്ണു സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവന് കാണുകയില്ലെന്നോ?

ജനതകളെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നവന് നിങ്ങളെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുകയില്ലെന്നോ? മനുഷ്യര്ക്കു ജ്ഞാനം നല്കുന്നവന് അറിവില്ലെന്നോ?

മനുഷ്യരുടെ വിചാരങ്ങള് ശ്വാസംപോലെ മാത്രമെന്നു സര്വേശ്വരന് അറിയുന്നു.

സര്വേശ്വരാ, അങ്ങ് ധര്മശാസ്ത്രം പഠിപ്പിക്കുകയും ശിക്ഷണം നല്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നവന് അനുഗൃഹീതന്.

അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവര്ക്കു കഷ്ടകാലത്ത് അവിടുന്നു വിശ്രമം നല്കുന്നു. ദുഷ്ടനെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുവരെ തന്നെ.

സര്വേശ്വരന് സ്വജനത്തെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുകയില്ല. അതേ, അവിടുത്തെ അവകാശമായ ജനത്തെ തള്ളിക്കളയുകയില്ല.

ന്യായാധിപന്മാര് വീണ്ടും നീതിപൂര്വം വിധിക്കും; പരമാര്ഥഹൃദയമുള്ളവര് അതു മാനിക്കും.

ആര് എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്ക്കെതിരെ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കും? ആര് എനിക്കുവേണ്ടി ദുഷ്കര്മികളോടു പോരാടും?

സര്വേശ്വരന് എനിക്കു തുണയായിരുന്നില്ലെങ്കില്, ഞാന് മൃതലോകത്ത് എത്തുമായിരുന്നു.

എന്റെ കാല് വഴുതാന് പോയപ്പോള്, സര്വേശ്വരാ, അവിടുത്തെ സുസ്ഥിരസ്നേഹം എന്നെ താങ്ങി.

ഞാന് ആകുലചിത്തനാകുമ്പോള്, അവിടുന്ന് എന്നെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. അത് എന്നെ ഉന്മേഷവാനാക്കുന്നു.
