Ó Deus, não guardes silêncio; não te cales nem fiques impassível, ó Deus.

Pois teus inimigos se alvoroçam, e os que te odeiam levantam a cabeça.
3
Com astúcia tramam contra teu povo e conspiram contra teus protegidos.
4
Dizem: Vinde, e vamos dar fim à nação, para que o nome de Israel não seja mais lembrado.
5
Pois tramam juntos e se aliam contra ti
6
as tendas de Edom e os ismaelitas, Moabe e os hagarenos,
7
Gebal, Amom e Amaleque, e a Filístia com os habitantes de Tiro.
8
Também a Assíria tornou-se aliada deles; eles são o braço forte dos filhos de Ló. [Interlúdio]
9
Faze-lhes como fizeste a Midiã, a Sísera, a Jabim, à beira do rio Quisom,
10
os quais foram destruídos em En-Dor; tornaram-se esterco para a terra.
11
Faze a seus nobres como a Orebe e a Zeebe, e a todos os seus príncipes, como a Zebá e a Zalmuna,
12
que disseram: Conquistemos para nós as pastagens de Deus.
13
Meu Deus, torna-os como folhas secas levadas pelo redemoinho.
14
Como o fogo destrói uma floresta, e como a chama incendeia as montanhas,
15
persegue-os assim com tua tempestade e assombra-os com teu furacão.
16
Senhor, cobre-lhes o rosto de vergonha para que busquem teu nome.
17
Sejam envergonhados e apavorados perpetuamente, e pereçam frustrados,
18
para que saibam que só tu, cujo nome é o Senhor, és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra.
