Am așteptat cu răbdare pe Domnul și el s‐a plecat spre mine și mi‐a auzit strigarea.
2
El m‐a scos din groapa pieirii, din noroiul mocirlos; și mi‐a pus picioarele pe o stâncă și mi‐a întărit pașii.
3
Și mi‐a pus în gură o cântare nouă, lauda Dumnezeului nostru. Mulți vor vedea și se vor teme și se vor încrede în Domnul.
4
Ferice de bărbatul care și‐a pus încrederea în Domnul și nu se îndreaptă spre cei îngâmfați și spre cei ce se abat la minciuni.
5
Doamne Dumnezeul meu, tu ai înmulțit lucrările tale minunate și gândurile tale către noi nu se pot înșirui înaintea ta. Dacă aș spune și aș vorbi de ele, sunt mai multe decât se pot număra.
6
Nu ți‐a plăcut jertfă și dar de mâncare: mi‐ai străpuns urechile, n‐ai cerut ardere de tot și jertfă pentru păcat.
7
Atunci am zis: Iată, vin; în sulul cărții este scris despre mine.
8
Desfătarea mea, Dumnezeul meu, este să fac plăcerea ta, și Legea ta este înăuntrul inimii mele.
9
Am vestit dreptatea în obștea cea mare. Iată, nu‐mi voi opri buzele, Doamne, tu știi.
10
N‐am ascuns dreptatea ta în inima mea, am spus credincioșia ta și mântuirea ta. N‐am ascuns bunătatea ta și adevărul tău de obștea cea mare.
11
Nu‐ți opri, Doamne, milele de la mine; bunătatea și adevărul tău să mă păzească pururea.
12
Căci m‐au înconjurat rele fără număr, nelegiuirile mele m‐au ajuns, de nu pot privi în sus. Sunt mai multe decât perii capului meu și inima m‐a părăsit.
13
O, binevoiește, Doamne, să mă izbăvești! Doamne, grăbește‐te în ajutorul meu!
14
Să se rușineze și să roșească împreună cei ce‐mi caută sufletul ca să‐l piardă; să fie dați înapoi și să fie dați de rușine cei ce doresc nenorocirea mea.
15
Să fie pustiiți din pricina rușinii lor cei ce‐mi zic: Ha! Ha!
16
Să se bucure și să se veselească în tine toți cei ce te caută, cei ce iubesc mântuirea ta să zică pururea: Mărit fie Domnul!
17
Da, eu sunt sărac și nevoiaș: Domnul se gândește la mine. Tu ești ajutorul meu și izbăvitorul meu, Dumnezeul meu, nu zăbovi!
