Păstor al lui Israel, pleacă urechea! Tu, cel ce povățuești pe Iosif ca pe o turmă; tu cel ce șezi pe heruvimi, fă să lucească strălucirea ta.
2
Deșteaptă‐ți puterea înaintea lui Efraim și Beniamin și Manase, și vino să ne mântuiești.
3
Dumnezeule! Întoarce‐ne iarăși și fă să lucească fața ta și vom fi mântuiți.
4
Doamne, Dumnezeul oștirilor! Până când va fumega mânia ta împotriva rugăciunii poporului tău?
5
I‐ai hrănit cu pâine de lacrimi și i‐ai adăpat cu lacrimi cu măsură plină.
6
Ne‐ai pus de ceartă vecinilor noștri și vrăjmașii noștri râd între ei.
7
Dumnezeul oștirilor! Întoarce‐ne iarăși; și fă să lucească fața ta și vom fi mântuiți.
8
Tu ai scos un butuc de vie din Egipt: ai izgonit neamurile și l‐ai sădit.
9
Ai făcut loc înaintea lui, și a prins rădăcină adâncă, și a umplut țara.
10
Munții s‐au acoperit de umbra lui și ramurile lui erau ca cedrii lui Dumnezeu.
11
Și‐a întins vițele până la mare și odraslele sale până la Râu.
12
Pentru ce i‐ai surpat gardurile, de‐l smulg toți trecătorii de pe drum?
13
Mistrețul din pădure îl râmă și fiara câmpului îl paște.
14
Dumnezeul oștirilor, rugămu‐te, întoarce‐te, caută din ceruri și vezi și cercetează via aceasta,
15
și sadul pe care l‐a sădit dreapta ta, și mlădița pe care ți‐ai întărit‐o.
16
Este arsă de foc, tăiată; sunt pierduți de mustrarea feței tale.
17
Fie mâna ta pe bărbatul dreptei tale, pe fiul omului pe care ți l‐ai întărit.
18
Și nu ne vom întoarce îndărăt de la tine; însuflețește‐ne și vom chema numele tău.
19
Doamne Dumnezeul oștirilor! Întoarce‐ne iarăși. Fă să lucească fața ta și vom fi mântuiți.
