Doamne Dumnezeul meu, în tine mi‐am pus încrederea; mântuiește‐mă de toți cei ce mă urmăresc și izbăvește‐mă;
2
Ca să nu‐mi sfâșie ca un leu sufletul, făcându‐l bucăți, fără să fie cine să izbăvească.
3
Doamne Dumnezeul meu, dacă am făcut aceasta; dacă este nelegiuire în mâinile mele;
4
dacă am răsplătit cu rău celui ce era în pace cu mine (da, am scăpat pe cel ce îmi era potrivnic, fără cuvânt)
5
să‐mi urmărească vrăjmașul sufletul și să‐l ajungă; da, să calce la pământ viața mea și să‐mi pună slava în pulbere..
6
Scoală‐te, Doamne, în mânia ta înalță‐te împotriva furiei potrivnicilor mei, trezește‐te pentru mine: tu ai poruncit judecată.
7
Și adunarea popoarelor te va înconjura; și deasupra lor întoarce‐te pe înălțime.
8
Domnul judecă popoarele; judecă‐mă, Doamne, după dreptatea mea și după neprihănirea mea care este în mine.
9
Oh, pune capăt răutății celor răi și întărește pe cel drept: Tu care cerci inimile și rărunchii, Dumnezeule drepte.
10
Scutul meu este la Dumnezeu care mântuiește pe cei drepți la inimă.
11
Dumnezeu este un judecător drept și un Dumnezeu care se mânie în fiecare zi.
12
Dacă cel rău nu se întoarce, Dumnezeu își va ascuți sabia, își încordează arcul și l‐a pregătit.
13
Și i‐a pregătit armele morții, își face săgețile arzătoare.
14
Iată, el se muncește cu nelegiuire, da, a zămislit răutate și a născut neadevăr.
15
A săpat o groapă și a adâncit‐o și a căzut în groapa pe care a făcut‐o.
16
Răutatea lui se va întoarce peste capul său însuși și asuprirea lui se va pogorî pe chiar creștetul lui.
17
Eu voi lăuda pe Domnul după dreptatea lui și voi cânta laudă numelui Domnului Cel Preaînalt.
