Pleacă urechea, Dumnezeule, la rugăciunea mea și nu te ascunde de cererea mea!

Ascultă‐mă și răspunde‐mi; rătăcesc în plângerea mea și gem
3
de glasul vrăjmașului, de apăsarea celui rău; căci ei aruncă nelegiuire peste mine și mă prigonesc cu mânie.
4
Mi se sbate inima înăuntru și spaime de moarte au căzut peste mine.
5
Frică și cutremur au venit peste mine și fior de groază m‐a acoperit.
6
Și am zis: O, de aș avea aripi ca de un porumbel! Aș zbura și m‐aș odihni.
7
Iată, aș zbura departe, aș mânea în pustie.
8
M‐aș grăbi să scap dinaintea vântului aprig, dinaintea furtunii.
9
Înghite‐i, Doamne, împarte‐le limba lor, căci am văzut asuprire și ceartă în cetate.
10
Zi și noapte ei îi dau ocol pe ziduri și nelegiuirea și nenorocirea sunt în mijlocul ei.
11
Răutatea este în mijlocul ei și apăsarea și vicleșugul nu se depărtează din ulițele ei.
12
Căci nu un vrăjmaș m‐a batjocorit: aș fi suferit; nu cel ce mă urăște s‐a mărit împotriva mea, m‐aș fi ascuns de el.
13
Ci tu, un om deopotrivă mie, cel mai de aproape al meu și prietenul meu.
14
Noi am avut dulci destăinuiri împreună! Am mers cu gloata la casa lui Dumnezeu.
15
Să‐i apuce moartea! Să se coboare de vii în Șeol! Căci este răutate în locuința lor în mijlocul lor.
16
Dar eu voi chema pe Dumnezeu și Domnul mă va mântui.
17
Seara și dimineața și la amiază mă voi plânge și mă voi tângui și el va auzi glasul meu.
18
El a răscumpărat în pace sufletul meu din lupta care era împotriva mea, căci mulți au fost asupra mea.
19
Dumnezeu va auzi și le va răspunde, el care rămâne din vechime: pentru că nu este nicio schimbare în ei și nu se tem de Dumnezeu.
20
El și‐a întins mâinile împotriva celor ce erau în pace cu el, a pângărit legământul său.
21
Gura lui era alunecoasă ca untul, dar inima sa era război, cuvintele sale erau mai moi decât untdelemnul, dar erau săbii scoase.
22
Aruncă asupra Domnului sarcina ta și el te va sprijini. El nu va lăsa niciodată să se clatine cel drept.
23
Ci tu, Dumnezeule, îi vei coborî în adâncul pieirii. Bărbați de sânge și amăgitori, nu vor trăi jumătate din zilele lor. Dar eu mă voi încrede în tine.
